Literally, almost all edible fish species and almost all type of meat can be cooked as sinigang.

The delicious foods of Indonesia are among the best reasons why millions of tourists visit the country every year aside from its numerous natural and manmade attractions. The most delicious food in the world is from Indonesia – the spicy Rendang. This spicy meat dish originated from the Minangkabau ethnic group in the archipelago and is now commonly served across Indonesia.  Ingredients include meat, coconut milk, ginger, garlic, shallot, chili, lemon grass, galangal and others. A dry Rendang if cooked properly could last for as long as 1-4 weeks.  Rendang is also popular in other Southeast Asian countries such as Brunei, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.

Another popular and delicious dish from Indonesia is Nasi Goreng, the national dish of Indonesia. It is both the favorite of the rich and the masses. This dish, which is fried pre-cooked rice commonly seasoned with sweet soy sauce, garlic, tamarind, shallot and chili is accompanied with chicken, egg and prawns.

This Japanese dish is consists of cooked vinegared rice called shari and combined with other ingredients or neta. Neta and forms of sushi presentation differ, but the ingredient which all sushi have in common is shari. The most common neta is seafood.

Thailand is one of the most visited countries in the world receiving millions of tourist every year. One of Thailand best dishes is Tom Yum Goong. The basic broth is made of stock and fresh ingredients such as chili pepper, fish sauce, galangal, kaffir lime leaves, lemon grass, and lime juice. This spicy clear soup is also popular in Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.

This Thai dish of stir-fried rice noodles with eggs, fish sauce, tamarind juice red chili pepper is combined with bean sprout, chicken, shrimp and tofu. It is garnished with crushed peanuts, coriander, and lime. Pad Thai is one of the national dishes of Thailand and has become a widespread staple food.

Peking Duck is a famous duck dish from Beijing, the capital of China. It is ChinaÂ’s national dish. The dish is prized for the thin, crisp skin, with authentic versions of the dish serving mostly the skin and little meat, sliced in front of the diners by the cook. It is served and eaten with pancakes, spring onions and sweet bean sauce. It is also called Peking Roast Duck.

The beef is thinly sliced and marinated to enhance its flavor and tenderness with a mixture of garlic, pepper, sesame oil, soy sauce and sugar. Other ingredients that can be added include mushroom, onions and scallion.

 

14. Char Siu- China

Aside from Peking Duck, another delicious food from China that is popular in the world is Char Siu. It is otherwise known as Barbecued Meat outside China. Long strips of seasoned boneless pork are skewered with long forks and placed in a covered oven or over a fire. This dish is traditionally cooked by roasting.

 

15. Chili Crab – Singapore
